Early Lessons with Option B+ in Tanzania (Mar 2015)

On Wednesday, March 4th, 2015, the Inter-agency Task Team on the Prevention and Treatment of HIV Infection in Pregnant Women, Mothers and Children (IATT) hosted a webinar on Early Lessons Learned from Option B+ Implementation in Tanzania. The webinar featured a presentation by Dr. Prosper Pendo Njau, Senior Epidemiologist for the national PMTCT programme and the PMTCT team of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW).

PMTCT Cascade Analysis (Sep 2015)

Cuba Validation on EMTCT of HIV & Syphilis (Jul 2015)

On July 13, 2015, the IATT hosted a webinar with WHO, PAHO and the Ministry of Health of Cuba to discuss the validation process for the dual elimination of MTCT of HIV and syphilis. A total of 68 participants joined the webinar from a range of countries including China, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Namibia and Nigeria. The Path to EMTCT of HIV (Mar 2016)

A total of 72 participants from China, Côte d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Panama, Senegal, South Africa, Zimbabwe and many other countries attended the webinar to learn about the validation criteria for elimination of mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of HIV and syphilis, as well as pre-elimination criteria, from World Health Organization (WHO) representatives.
