The Paediatric and Adolescent HIV Service Delivery Hub (PASD Hub) is a one stop shop to find innovative and effective interventions on HIV care and treatment for children and adolescents with HIV.
The WHO and UNICEF invite programme managers and program implementers to use the PASD Hub to inform the implementation of evidence-based practices and country experiences to improve HIV service delivery for children and adolescents.
Until recently, there has been little documentation of what model of differentiated service delivery work to improve paediatric and adolescent ART coverage. At a time when the significant progress in reducing the number of new HIV infections among children is overshadowed by the paediatric HIV treatment gap, identifying and amplifying approaches that respond to the specific needs of children and adolescents is more important than ever. The PASD Hub aims to share age-appropriate models of care in order to facilitate the scale-up of differentiated service delivery models for children and adolescents.
At this time, the interventions included are limited to those addressing paediatric and adolescent HIV care and treatment. The database could be expanded at a later date.
All studies and country experience included in the database will have comparison data, whether pre-and post-intervention or comparing intervention with standard of care (control). Research and country experiences that focus on children and adolescents aged 0–19 or describe interventions involving caregivers with children- and adolescent-focused outcomes are included. The primary outcomes of interest are:
- Retention/adherence/loss-to-follow up
- Disease progression, i.e. Immunological and virological markers such as viral suppression and/or CD4 count
- Mortality/morbidity
The interactive map below illustrates published research, conference abstracts, grey literature and reported experiences from countries. The map contains a brief description of each study with the key outcomes. You can filter the studies by geographic location/country, study type and service delivery intervention.

If you would like to submit a study or best practice for inclusion in the database, please fill out this form. It will be reviewed by experts from UNICEF and WHO according to the selection criteria.
The PASD Hub will be updated on a semi-annual basis.
